Sloan Valve Company has released a new brochure that highlights a selection of electronic retrofit options for manual Flushometers. The brochure, titled “Sloan Retrofits Make the Road to Conversions Easy,” covers Sloan’s battery- and solar-powered Flushometer retrofit products, which convert most manual Flushometers to hands-free, automation operation.
The brochure describes five retrofit conversion options available from Sloan. Easy-to-follow illustrations show how each of the kits installs on a manual water closet or urinal Flushometer. The electronic retrofit conversion products included in the brochure are:
• the Side Mount Operator, which replaces the manual Flushometer handle, and the SMOOTH®, which clamps over the handle, to provide battery-powered flushing;
• the battery-powered G2 Optima Plus® kit, which includes an engineered metal cover with replaceable lens window;
• the battery-powered Sloan ECOS® dual-flush Flushometer, which automatically initiates a 1.1 gpf or 1.6 gpf flush, depending on the length of time the user remains in sensor range, if the user does not depress a button manually; and
• the solar-powered Sloan SOLIS® dual-flush Flushometer, which offers all the benefits of the Sloan ECOS while also saving energy by deriving power from any natural or artificial light source.
The brochure also offers information about High-Efficiency Toilets and High-Efficiency Urinals in The Efficiency Series by Sloan®. These vitreous china water closet and urinal fixtures can be paired with many of Sloan’s electronic or manual water-efficient Flushometers.
